defensive driving tips

I'm working on an introduction
i provide this info purely for informational purposes and cannot be help responsible for any damages whether physically or emotionally to any person or property by the use of this information

#1 what to do when your gas pedal is stuck on/brakes fail/car keeps accelerating:
automatic shift the car into neutral and gently pull on the hand break to slow down DO NOT YANK IT UP THIS WILL LOCK UP YOUR REAR TYRES, in the event that your breaks are working use them instead P.S.  when you shift the car into neutral the engine will rev to redline DO NOT TURN OFF YOUR ENGINE DOING SO MIGHT WEAKEN YOUR BRAKES ESP IN AUTOMATIC CARS.
manual clutch then shift the car into neutral then follow the steps in the automatic
for both cars as soon as the car comes to a stop shut off the engine to prevent damage and call either the police to assist you or someone you know and do not start the car again until it is safe to do so such as after it has been fixed.

#2 Where to swerve I've seen this happen a couple of times a car coming out of a lane(lets call it WC) and he goes for it and a next car comes barreling down the road the( lets call it BC) when the driver of BC swerves he turns were he sees more space towards the front of WC which is moving forward this is the wrong place to swerve because the white car is moving forward trying to move out of the black car's way to will speed up the BC should swerve to the back of WC to avoid collision

#3 where to crash an interesting post but there will come a time that this info might be important if a collision is unavoidable its best to stay in your lane this way if the car is obstructing your right of way then the other driver would be to blame for the accident also when coming up to an intersection that is fairly busy proceed with caution.

#4 Break failure Don't panic first look for a path that you can take if you need to then follow these steps
Automatic take your foot off the gas then your speed can be reduced by shifting down into 2nd gear on your selector the engine will rev higher then your car will start to slow at about 20-25 mph shift into L gear this will further reduce your speed then when the car will go no slower shift up into neutral this will cut the engine power completely  NEVER TURN OFF THE ENGINE UNTIL YOU STOP SOME CARS THE BRAKES WONT WORK WITH THE ENGINE OFF.
Manual follow the same steps foot off gas then clutch then shift into the lowest possible gear you can at that speed and engine rev then keep repeating that until you can cut of the engine power by shifting into neutral

#5 Overheating in the event that your cars temperature needle starts to go up the best thing to do it to pull over but if that is not an option turn off your ac and switch the temperature to heater, this will open up your cars heater core which is just a next radiator effectively giving you car a little more time to reach to a service station or mechanic IN THE EVENT THAT SWITCHING ON THE HEATER DOESN'T COOL THE CAR IT MEANS THERE IS LITTLE COOLANT IN THE COOLING SYSTEM PULL OVER IMMEDIATELY AND SWITCH ON YOUR HAZARD LIGHTS

#6 Punctured tyre simply changing the tyre will do but if that tyre is a front tyre i recommend that you rotate a it with a back tyre reason being the donut(temporary tyre) will be on the front and these tyres cant really take an impact from a pothole and the front tyres are always the first tyre to fall in so switch it with a back tyre.

#8 NO HOLLYWOOD DRIVING styles may look cool but can put you at more risk when driving on roads with normal cars and normal people driving not Hollywood stunt drivers.

#9 NEVER DRIVE OUTSIDE OF YOUR ABILITIES this one cannot be stressed enough how many times have we seen people showing off then crashing the only reason why they crashed is because they were either trying moves that were too advance for them, never practiced enough or moves that were just outside of what they can physically do at that moment in time like high 'G' turns can knock out someone so avoid becoming the next you tube video find an empty lot to practice your moves and become familiar with the way your car handles when you rough it up a bit you'll be surprised how close one can be with the machine

#9 IN THE EVENT OF AN ACCIDENT first make sure everyone is safe, after that you can exchange information with the other driver, but not everyone is cool and calm after an accident if the person is aggressive call the police immediately or try to signal another driver to stop, never run out in the road to do so. also never leave the accident without looking at the other driver's drivers license or some other id to verify where they live and their names some people will lie if they plan on evading blame for an accident especially so if damage is minimal to their car. If the other driver tries to flee the scene of an accident the first thing you should do is try to get down their plate number if sucessful call the police and tell them what happens, if you are not successful and decide to give chase only go far enough to record their plate number also remember to take pictures of the scene before any of the cars are moved after all of that if a police was not present on the scene of an accident you should report the matter to them in the time limit specified in your country
